Midweek format
Long format
Spring readings above come from the same measurement set as the spring data table further down this page.
Lodge, spring temperature, elevation and transfer time sit in one table, so suitability is your own judgement rather than a claim. Readings are taken at the bathing pool inlet during the January review.
Spring water is used for thermal bathing, sauna and quiet rest. Bathing sessions run 20 to 30 minutes.

Operating standards
A registered operator, small fixed groups, and guides who live in the valleys the route actually crosses.
Every retreat departs with a maximum of ten guests, so the thermal bathing hours stay quiet and the walking pace stays a choice rather than a schedule.
Each guide on the roster lives year-round in the Carpathians and knows the spring paths, the transfer times and the weather windows from daily use.

Daily rhythm
Each day holds two fixed points: a morning anchor and an afternoon anchor. Distances are walking distance from the lodge door on marked trails; elevation gain is cumulative across that half day. Bathing and sauna blocks sit apart and can be skipped.
Day 1Arrival, low load
Morning Skhidnytsia spring terrace walk 1.8 km · 45 m gain
Afternoon Thermal bathing at the lower pool 0.4 km · 8 m gain
Day 2Full walking day
Morning Ridge traverse on the beech contour line 7.4 km · 320 m gain
Afternoon Sauna as a comfort experience, brook loop 0.6 km · 12 m gain
Day 3Water and iron
Morning Iron spring path past the upper waterfall 4.2 km · 180 m gain
Afternoon Quiet rest block, then the flat meadow loop 2.1 km · 35 m gain
Day 4High meadow, departure
Morning High meadow walk to the weather station 5.6 km · 260 m gain
Afternoon Final soak, slow pack, transfer prep 0.3 km · 5 m gain
Distances and elevation gain are re-walked each season before the programme is published. Group size, inclusions and dates sit on the retreat formats page; date requests go through the enquiry form.
Next step
Three Carpathian thermal retreats run this season: a two-night soak, a four-night bathing and walking week, and a six-night long stay. Every block on the retreats page lists group size, walking distance and elevation gain, so suitability is a judgement you can make yourself.
Indicative rates are shown per person with a validity date, and confirmed at booking. If the spring data on this page raises a question, write to us and we answer within two working days.
